Jaco was raised on the land that is now the hunting ground for Namibia Safari Corporation. Jaco has been a keen hunter, and excellent shot from the early age. In 2002, he became Namibia’s national archery champion and represented Namibia at the World Archery Championship in 2005 in the USA.
He obtained a B Sc degree in Agricultural Economics in South Africa in 1993, and returned to Namibia to lecture at an Agricultural College. He was employed by the Meat Board of Namibia as Manager: Information Systems and in the same time obtained his Master in Business Management degree. In 2000 he obtained his professional hunting license and since then guided more than 300 international clients on hunting safaris.
He is married to Marinda and they are blessed with three children, Maryke, SD and Nina-Mart.
SD just turned 21, had already passed the hunting guide examination, he just needs to do the practical hunting guide examination in 2022.
